Meet FTS at Our Autumn 2026 Conferences and Events

Meet Fts At Our Autumn 2026 Conferences And Events

Over the coming months, Forensic Testing Service (FTS) will be attending a programme of conferences and events for professionals working across family law, social work and safeguarding.

From Manchester to London, Birmingham, Southampton and Bristol, our autumn calendar provides plenty of opportunities to meet Steve Nurdin, Senior Account Manager at Forensic Testing Service, and talk to us about drug and alcohol testing for family law and childcare proceedings. Alongside exhibiting and meeting delegates, Steve will also be presenting at two social work conferences, sharing insight into the role of forensic toxicology and expert interpretation in complex safeguarding cases.

The Social Work Show with Compass, Manchester

28th September 2026 | IHG Manchester Deansgate Hotel, Manchester

We begin our autumn events programme in Manchester at the Social Work Conference with Compass, where Steve Nurdin, Senior Account Manager at Forensic Testing Service, will be presenting The Forensic Lens: Gaining Clarity in Complex Safeguarding Cases. The session will explore the role of forensic toxicology in complex safeguarding cases and the importance of looking beyond a test result in isolation. Steve will consider how the right testing strategy, combined with expert interpretation and the wider case circumstances, can help professionals develop a clearer understanding of the evidence.

If you are attending, join Steve for the session and speak to the Forensic Testing Service team about drug and alcohol testing in family law and childcare cases.

Early Years Conference, London

30th September 2026 | Cavendish Conference Centre, London

We will be exhibiting as Forensic Testing Service at the Early Years Conference in London, where we look forward to meeting professionals working across early years, safeguarding and family support. Our forensic toxicologists combine scientific testing with expert interpretation, considering results in the context of the individual case.

If you are attending, visit the Forensic Testing Service stand to meet Steve and find out more about our drug and alcohol testing services and how we can support your cases.

Family Law Week Private Children Law Conference, London

9th October 2026 | De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, London

Our first October event brings us together with professionals working in private children law. Drug and alcohol testing can provide important evidence in family law proceedings but choosing the appropriate test and understanding what the results can and cannot establish are equally important.

You can meet Steve Nurdin, Senior Account Manager at Forensic Testing Service, who will be attending as part of the wider Analytical Expert Labs team. Steve and the team will be available to discuss drug and alcohol testing, expert interpretation and reporting for family law cases.

East London Local Family Justice Board

15th October 2026 | London Borough of Tower Hamlets, London

FTS will be exhibiting as part of Analytical Expert Labs at the East London Local Family Justice Board event in Tower Hamlets. The event provides an opportunity to meet professionals working across the family justice system in East London and discuss the role of drug and alcohol testing in family law and childcare cases.

If you are attending, come and meet Steve to discuss your testing requirements, the different testing options available and how Forensic Testing Service can support cases across Tower Hamlets and the wider East London family justice community.

The UK Social Work Conference 2026, Birmingham

27th October 2026 | The Eastside Rooms, Birmingham

Later in October, we will be at the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) Social Work Conference in Birmingham, meeting social workers and other professionals supporting children and families. Selecting the right testing approach is important. Different sample types and testing strategies can provide evidence over different periods, while expert interpretation helps ensure results are considered alongside the circumstances of the individual case.

Steve will be representing Forensic Testing Service as part of the wider Analytical Expert Labs team at the event and will be available to discuss drug and alcohol testing for family law, safeguarding and childcare cases.

3PB Chambers Annual Care Conference, Southampton

12th November 2026 | Harbour Hotel, Southampton

The 3PB Chambers Annual Care Conference brings together professionals involved in public children law and care proceedings. Forensic Testing Service specialises in drug and alcohol testing for family law and childcare cases. Our forensic toxicologists combine scientific testing with expert interpretation, considering results in the context of the individual case to provide courts, local authorities and legal professionals with clear, robust evidence to support informed decision-making.

Steve will be representing Forensic Testing Service as part of the wider Analytical Expert Labs team at the conference and will be available to discuss your cases and testing requirements.

ALC Annual Conference, Bristol

19th–21st November 2026 | Delta Hotels by Marriott Bristol City Centre

Our November events continue at the Association of Lawyers for Children (ALC) Annual Conference in Bristol. The conference provides an important opportunity to meet professionals working with children and families and discuss how appropriately commissioned and interpreted drug and alcohol testing can contribute to the wider evidential picture in family law proceedings.

You can meet Steve as part of the wider Analytical Expert Labs team, where he will be available to discuss testing options, expert interpretation and reporting for family law and childcare cases.

The Social Work Show with Compass, London

We will round off our autumn events programme with Compass at their UK Social Work Conference in London, where Steve will once again present The Forensic Lens: Gaining Clarity in Complex Safeguarding Cases. The session will explore how forensic toxicology can support professionals working with complex safeguarding cases, including the importance of selecting the appropriate testing approach and interpreting findings within the context of the individual case.

Steve will be attending as part of the wider Analytical Expert Labs team. If you are attending the show, join his presentation and meet the team to discuss how Forensic Testing Service can support drug and alcohol testing requirements in family law and safeguarding matters.

Meet Steve and the FTS Team

Whether you work in family law, social work, safeguarding or local government, our autumn conferences and events provide an opportunity to meet our team and discuss your drug and alcohol testing requirements.

If you are attending any of the events above, come and speak to Steve Nurdin, Senior Account Manager at Forensic Testing Service, about your cases and how our team can support you. We look forward to seeing you at an event this autumn.
